About
So…you want a website. Well, two years ago, I decided I wanted a website too. I looked all over for someone to help guide me through the process, but the web designers I encountered were either uncertain or too expensive. So I set out on a course to build my own website.
What I discovered is that there’s a lot involved. You have to really understand the technology and how it’s all connected. The more I learn, the more I see a relationship between our interconnectedness and the expansive nature of the Internet. So…I completed a meditation website and begain receiving thousands of visitors every month due largely in part to my success at studying SEO and consequently getting ranked for several keywords with Google because of that knowledge.
My next project was an holistic directory which is still in the process of creation (or recreation as the case may be). What I discovered during the several months that I’ve been working on the directory is that few holistic practitioners have a website. So I began working for many of these people to help them develop a website that reflected their vision for their healing work using the skills and abilities I had learned doing my own work.
Today, I look foward to contributing to healing the world through Magic in the Desert Web Design by helping healers and holistic practitioners create websites that reflect their healing work in the world. By helping to market and promote these businesses online, I feel our consciousness is expanding as more people know about the great things these people are doing in the world.
My fundamental goal is to help you in the best way I can. We’ll work together in the creation of your website. Whenever possible, I use open source technologies to keep costs to a mimimum. My focus is on you and your goals for your business. Finding the best way of using the Internet to help you exceed those goals is a fun challenge and my life’s work. I’m constantly working toward improvng my skills through courses and collaboration with other professionals (and yes, through my practice of Yoga and meditation too!).
As an aside, if you aren’t familiar with open source movement on the web, you should check out. I feel that the open source movement along with what people are calling Web 2.0 is going to greatly change the structure of our society in a very positive way, mainly through collaboration, harnessing collective intelligence, and open systems.
My tag line says ‘Web design with intention’ and that’s because Magic in the Desert Web Design Company is part of my intention for promoting peace, love and healing in the world.
Namaste, thank you for visiting my website, and I hope to talk to you soon!
